1. Do I need Internet access to run Accknowledge? No! Only if you want to access your system away from the office would you be required to have internet access. This will then allow you to access your accounting from anywhere, a hotspot via your laptop or someone else’s premises.

2. Does Accknowledge have a fixed assets module? Not currently. But a module is currently in development to accommodate a full fixed assets component. Currently you can add fixed assets to your inventory list and pull up a report for detail of your fixed assets.

3. What computer specs do I need to run Accknowledge? Server requirements = Server 2003, Windows XP Pro and above. Workstations = Windows XP Pro, Windows 98SE and above, plus Internet Explorer 6 or Higher.

4. What is the maximum number of users for Accknowledge? Unlimited, we monitor users concurrently.

5. What is the maximum size company that can use Accknowledge? From single user - to SMME’s - to large corporates. Accknowledge is a highly scaleable package.

6. Is there training support for Accknowledge? Yes! We have regular training sessions that cover the basics of Accknowledge. There is also video training DVD for personalize training. Accknowledge Systems provide training classrooms.

7. Is there on-going client support after the package has been purchased? Yes! You have unlimited telephonic support as part of your contract. Your dealer can also assist you onsite for support. You can also e-mail us for support.

8. Does Accknowledge support e-mailing of documents? Yes! From an e-mail server send: quotes, invoices, credit notes, customer statements, purchase orders, goods received notes, stock returns and suppliers statements.

9. Does Accknowledge have Point of Sale? An advanced Point of Sale is in development.

10. Can you make corrections to the documents prior to them being posted? Yes. All documents are saved, checked and then can be posted into your books.

11. Can you make changes to the documents after you have posted them to your books? No changes can be made to documents after posting, you will have to post a journal for corrections. We comply to the GAAP rules.

12. Is there a license fee? Yes! License fees are paid annually based on the anniversary of your contract.

13. What does the license fee include? Software updates and telephonic support.

14. How many branches can be in one set of books? Multiple.

15. Is there a help file on Accknowledge? Yes! Accknowledge has a video training session on each module.

16. What do I need to get started? All you need to do is contact us for a quote, upon acceptance and payment we will come out to install onto a server machine. For our online Web Accounting, you can go to www.webaccounting.co.za and upon quote, payment you will receive an email to log onto a blank company set of books which you can get started on immediately.

17. How do you protect my data, seeing as access is allowed over the Internet? First of all you will need a Firewall in front of your server, Secondly you can sign up for an SSL Certificate which will also encode your data over the internet, and Thirdly the application has it’s own built in security whereby you have to be logged into the package in order to view your data. Fourthly there is no data left behind in your cookie trail as the data is only stored in RAM and you have to be logged into the package.

18. Security Downfall? Only if you give away your User name and password to someone. Same as Internet Banking.

19. How do I change over from my current package without losing time/data? Select a month end to move over from your old package to Accknowledge. Export your master files example Debtors, Creditors and Inventory Lists which we can Import into the package. Take on your balances and you can start.

20. Can you move my history from other package? No, as we do not advise this due to the following issues: a. Data Corruption from your previous package if you had any, b. in Accknowledge Accounting package we do things very differently.

21. When would be the best time for me to start? At any month end, you do not need to wait for a year-end.

22. How much does it cost? This depends on the number of users and the number of add on modules you require, contact us on info@accknowledge.net

23. How does it get installed? It gets installed on a single server machine and the workstations access the server via your Internet explorer thereby leaving the need for software installation on each workstation redundant.

24. What sort of Internet Software do I need? Currently the software works with Internet Explorer 6 and higher. Later versions will include Fire Fox, Mozilla and Apple Explorer Systems.

25. What if I only have a dial up? It is not advisable to run the software with a dial up system, we recommend 64megs and higher for Internet.

26. How big must my computer be to use this product? You can run this from your workstation with a Pentium 3 but your speed will be compromised.
